Hafiz Financing Scheme (Skim Pembiayaan Hafiz) 2015/2016

Hafiz Financing Scheme (SPH: Skim Pembiayaan Hafiz) is a financial aid offered by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) to Malaysian citizens who have been offered a place to study in various disciplines in the First Degree in recognized local and overseas universities.

JAKIM hopes that this scheme will help those who have memorized 30 juz of the Quran pursuing their full-time learning for the academic session 2015/2016.


Deadline: 17 August 2015

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Diploma Tahfiz al-Quran Jakim [CGPA 2.75 and above], OR
  • 5 credits in SPM / 2 Principal Bs in STPM (Syariah, Usuluddin, and Arabic) / obtained Jayyid Jiddan in STAM; and
  • Sijil Tahfiz al-Quran Jakim [CGPA 3.0 and above], OR
  • 5 credits in SPM / 2 Principal Bs in STPM (Syariah, Usuluddin, and Arabic) / obtained Jayyid Jiddan in STAM; and
  • Sijil Tahfiz Malaysia [Mumtaz].
These group of people are NOT eligible to apply:
  • Students who have received sponsorship or scholarship from any parties;
  • Currently pursuing a course in Matriculation / Foundation in Science / Pre-University / Foundation / Tahfiz Quran Certification / Language Centre;
  • Civil servants; and
  • Students who are currently enrolled in Distance Learning Programme (PJJ).
How To Apply:
  • Application of Hafiz Financing Scheme (SPH) 2014/2015 must be made online through http://sph.islam.gov.my;
  • Applicants are allowed to update the information at any time before the closing date. Only the latest information will be taken into consideration;
  • Online application form which is downloaded, printed, and sent by mail will not be processed;
  • Online application requires no copies of certificates to be sent, unless stated in the print slip's column;
  • Applicants shall ensure that their application process has been completed by printing and reviewing the information contained in "slip pengesahan permohonan SPH 2015" as a proof of application;
