Malaysia Development Bank Scholarship Award 2014

Malaysia Development Bank 2014 Undergraduate Scholarship was an element in the company's corporate social responsibility. Besides the opportunity to undergo Graduate Development Programme and experience work exposure through internship within the subsidiaries, recipients need not worry about his career path as they will be bonded to serve the Bank for 10 years.

Based on their progressive plans, BPMB invites qualified individual to apply for a scholarship to pursue studies in the following institutions:

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Fulfill general eligibility criteria;
  • Completed Pre-university / Foundation / Matriculation / Diploma program;
  • Achieved at least 3As for A-Level programme or minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Pre-university / Foundation / Matriculation / Diploma studies;
  • Received conditional offer from universities accepted by the Bank for enrolment in 2013;
  • Note: Previous academic achievements will be taken into consideration.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Fulfill general eligibility criteria;
  • Completed Pre-university / Foundation / Matriculation / Diploma program with minimum CGPA of 3.50;
  • Completed SAT I paper with at least 1200 points (for 2 subjects) or 1600 (for 3 subjects) and minimum 100 points for TOEFL;
  • Received conditional offer from universities accepted by the Bank for enrolment in 2013;
  • Note: Previous academic achievements will be taken into consideration.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Fulfill general eligibility criteria;
  • Completed Pre-university / Foundation / Matriculation / Diploma program (South Australian Certificate of Education, Australian Matriculation, Western Australia Certificate of Education) with minimum ATAR of 80 and above;
  • Received conditional offer from universities accepted by the Bank for enrolment in 2013;
  • Note: Previous academic achievements will be taken into consideration.
Preferred Universities:
The scholarship is open to applicants looking to study in the following universities in Australia:
  • Australian National University;
  • Macquarie University;
  • University of Adelaide;
  • University of Melbourne;
  • University of New South Wales;
  • University of Sydney;
  • University of Western Australia.


The above list of preferred universities is not exhaustive. The scholarship is also open to applicants looking to study in other preferred countries such as Canada and New Zealand.

Scholarship will be offered to students pursuing the following fields of study recognised by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA):
  • Business: Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Economics;
  • Engineering and Technology: Engineering, Information Systems, Information and Communication Technology (ICT);
  • Other Banking-related Study: Law, Mathematics, Statistics.
Deadline: 18 July 2014

General Eligibility Criteria:
  • Citizen of Malaysia;
  • Age at least 17 years old and not more than 23 years old;
  • Obtained straight As in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or equivalent;
  • Completed Pre-university / Foundation / Matriculation / Diploma program and achieved at least 3As for A-Level program or minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Pre-University / Foundation /Matriculation / Diploma studies;
  • Has secured a placement in selected leading overseas university in the preferred discipline;
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and potential;
  • Actively involved in extra-curricular activities and sports;
  • Applicants must not be a recipient of any other scholarship or award from other organizations / foundations;
  • To provide one surety.
